BASIC QUALIFICATION AND SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA

Applicants must have at least one parent in full-time employment of the Indian Police Service (“IPS”), Rajasthan Police Service (“RPS”), Rajasthan Home Guards (“RHG”) or a Rajasthan cadre officer serving on deputation with equivalent institutions such as the Border Security Force (“BSF”), Central Reserve Police Force (“CRPF”) or Central Bureau of Investigation (“CBI”), amongst others. On a limited and exceptional basis, the Board will consider applicants of children whose parent(s) is serving in the police services outside this preferred group described above.

This is a merit-based and not a need-based scholarship available to children of officers and non-officers, equally. Scholarships are offered for studies in science and engineering, medicine and pharmacology, and economics and finance. The Foundation will provide ALL expenses for completing the chosen field of study including, but not limited to, the following: tuition, room & board, travel to and from India, clothing and incidental expenses, medical insurance, and all other study related expenses not described herein. This is not a work-study program … only a study focused program.

Mandatory Requirement for Applying for Scholarship from the Foundation:

  1. Applicant must first obtain admission to Indian Institute of Technology (“IIT”), Birla Institute of Technology and Science (“BITS”) or any equivalent university in India for undergraduate studies in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (“STEM”), based on merit; and
  2. Applicant must complete one year (two regular semesters) with exemplary grades.

Applications may be submitted after completion of the first semester, described above.  The Foundation will advise if applicant is conditionally approved, depending on results of the second semester; Scholastic Aptitude Test (“SAT”) scores; and subsequent application and admission to a selected top-tier university in the USA.

आधारभूत योग्यता एवं छात्रवृत्ति के नियम

आवेदक का कोई भी एक अभिभावक (माता या पिता) भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (आई पी एस), राजस्थान पुलिस सेवा (आर पी एस), राजस्थान होम गार्ड्स (रा हो गा) या राजस्थान संवर्ग के अधिकारी जो दूसरे समकक्ष संगठन जैसे कि सीमा सुरक्षा बल (बी एस  एफ़), केंद्रीय रिज़र्व पुलिस बल (सी आर पी एफ़), केंद्रीय अन्वेषण ब्यूरो (सी बी आई) आदि में प्रतिनियुक्त है | अपवाद एवं सीमित रूप से निदेशक मंडल ऐसे आवेदकों के आवेदन स्वीकार कर सकता है जिनके माता या पिता ऊपर लिखित सेवाओं के अतिरिक्त किसी अन्य पुलिस सेवाओं में कार्यरत है |

यह छात्रवृत्ति योग्यता के आधार पर दी जायेगी न कि आवशयकता के आधार पर | यह छात्रवृत्ति पुलिस अधिकारियों एवं अन्य पुलिस कर्मियों की संतानों के लिए समान आधार पर उपलब्ध होगी | यह छात्र वृत्ति विज्ञान,अभियांत्रिकी,स्वास्थ्य विज्ञान, औषध विज्ञान,अर्थ शास्त्र, एवं वित्त विषयों में शिक्षा के लिए दी जाएगी |

संस्थान चुने हुए विषयों में शिक्षा का पूरा खर्च जिसमें शिक्षा शुल्क, रहने एवं खाने का खर्च,भारत से अमरीका आने जाने का खर्च, कपड़ा एवं अन्य सम्बंधित खर्च, स्वास्थ्य बीमा खर्च एवं अन्य खर्च जो शिक्षा से सम्बंधित हैं और यहाँ नहीं दर्शाये गए हैं, सम्मिलित हैं | यह “कार्य के साथ शिक्षा का” कार्यक्रम नहीं है | यह केवल शिक्षा पर केंद्रित कार्यक्रम है |

संस्थान से छात्रवृत्ति के लिए आवेदन करने के लिए अनिवार्य आवश्यकता:

  1. आवेदक को पहले भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (“आईआईटी”), बिड़ला इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी एंड साइंस (“बीआईटीएस”) या विज्ञान, प्रौद्योगिकी, इंजीनियरिंग, या गणित में स्नातक अध्ययन के लिए भारत में किसी समकक्ष विश्वविद्यालय में प्रवेश प्राप्त करना होगा (“एसटीईएम “), योग्यता के आधार पर; तथा

  2. आवेदक को अनुकरणीय दर्जे के साथ एक वर्ष (दो नियमित सेमेस्टर) पूरा करना होगा।

ऊपर वर्णित पहले सेमेस्टर के पूरा होने के बाद आवेदन जमा किआ जा सकता हैं। फाउंडेशन सलाह देगा कि आवेदक सशर्त रूप से अनुमोदित है, दूसरे सेमेस्टर के परिणामों के आधार पर; शैक्षिक योग्यता परीक्षा (“एसएटी”) स्कोर; और संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका में एक चयनित शीर्ष स्तरीय विश्वविद्यालय में बाद में आवेदन और प्रवेश।
